Lucy (Alpha)
FAQ
Why won’t Lucy accept my follow request?
There are two main reasons why your follow request may not have been accepted. First, make sure that you have signed up via one of our official sign up forms with your correct Instagram handle in the “Instagram” field. To ensure that guests have agreed to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, Lucy does not accept follow requests from those who have not gone through our sign up form.
Another likely reason is that you are still in our queue. During our Alpha stage, we have limited tickets available. As more spots become available, we will accept new guests, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Do I need to have an Instagram account to talk to Lucy?
Yes, for right now, we use Instagram as our direct texting platform. We are experimenting with new platforms for the future, but at this time if you would like to start chatting with Lucy, Instagram direct message is the only way. You will need to make sure that you filled out the "Instagram" field in the sign up form with your correct username, otherwise our system will not know to accept your follow request on the account.
Lucy sounds different today. Has something changed?
Lucy is a work in progress. Your experience with her may change as we test out different ways of making her tick. By participating in the Alpha, you are helping us make Lucy the best version of herself that she can be. We hope that you will continue with the experience as we further develop and refine our virtual being. Your feedback is valuable in helping us understand what works well, and where we can improve.
Does Lucy have "Hours of Operation?" When are they? Why doesn't she respond to me right away?
Lucy is a kid with a life and a schedule. She goes to school. She sleeps. Mom doesn't like her using the computer on weekends. Time works a little funny in her world, but generally she will get to new messages when she gets to log on to the computer.
Okay, but like, really when is she available?
Lucy is most likely to be available when Fable engineers are available (we like to make sure we're here to keep an eye on things), so you'll have the best luck on workdays: ~10am Pacific - ~5pm Pacific.
